The EYOFs are regularly held in European countries including EU Member States
The 2009 Tampere, 2011 Liberec and 2013 Brasov EYOFs received funding from the EU as "non-commercial sport events"
The EYOF contributes to the objectives of the European Week of Sport (EWoS).
